Claudia M. Sklar, principal with the law firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C., has been appointed to the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity (LCD) Board of Directors.  The Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity was formed to unite the resources, energy and commitment of the region’s leading corporations, public sector entities, law firms, law schools and state bar associations to advance diversity in the legal profession.

LCD’s mission is to support the efforts of its members to identify, recruit, advance and retain attorneys of color and women in Connecticut, Westchester County and Western Massachusetts and to make the community a more attractive place to practice law and find satisfying professional

opportunities.

Claudia M. Sklar has been engaged in the litigation of general civil and commercial matters, with an emphasis on creditors’ rights including commercial and residential foreclosures, commercial law, and title insurance litigation for over 45 years.  Another major focus of Claudia’s practice centers around protecting and preserving the rights of same sex couples, LGBTQIA clients and their families.  Attorney Sklar is a graduate of Adelphi University and the University of Connecticut School of Law.  She is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of Connecticut and the U.S. District Court, Bankruptcy Court, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
