Amity Teen Center Chilly Chili Run

There is still plenty of time to register for the 23rd Annual Chilly Chili Run on New Year’s Day in Orange to benefit the Amity Teen Center.  Participants in the 5K Race and Fitness walk will be treated to a hot chili brunch after the race at the High Plains Community Center cafeteria.

This award-winning race will be the first official 5K race of the year, and this year it will also be the first race of the decade, in Southern Connecticut!

You can pre-register online for the Chilly Chili Run at www.hitekracing.com or by filling out an application, and mailing in your registration.  Applications are available at the Orange Park and Recreation Office at the High Plains Community Center.

The fees through December 14 are $25.00 for the 5K race ($12.00 for runners under 12) and $12.00 for the 5K Fitness Walk.  After December 14, and on Race Day, the fees will be $30.00 for the 5K race ($15.00 for runners under 12) and $15.00 for those doing the 5K Fitness Walk.  The online registration will be available until Tuesday, December 24th.

The Chilly Chili Run is also offering Early Packet Pickup and Late Registration on Tuesday, December 31st at the High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Road from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Registration on January 1st will begin at 8:00 AM and will close at 10:00 AM sharp.  The Fitness walk will begin at 10:15 and the Race will begin at 10:30.

This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Amity Teen Center, which was formed as a non-profit in 1987.  The mission of the Amity Teen Center is to provide a safe place where area teens can meet and socialize in a drug-free and alcohol-free supervised environment.  Proceeds from this event will benefit the Teen Center, which is located at 10 Selden Street in Woodbridge.

This is a great way to ring in 2020, and to be served chili by the First Selectman of Orange, Jim Zeoli!  If you have any questions, please call Race Director, Joe Riccio, at 203 481-7453.  You can also email any questions to wssac-ct@juno.com, or to chillychilirun@hotmail.com or cohen.linda@gmail.com.
