With the long winter days over, members of the Orange Congregational Church are thinking summer and are in full swing preparing for their 7th annual Strawberry Festival. The Festival is June 13 from 9AM to 5PM at the Orange Fairgrounds. The rain date is June 14. Admission and parking are free.
The volunteers are planning for all the strawberry treats that take center stage at the Festival when the strawberry is “king for the day”. Shortcakes, jams, pies, chocolate dipped strawberries and sundaes will be ready for the hungry fair crowd to purchase and enjoy. These strawberry treats sell out quickly. Delicious Festival food will be available throughout the day.
Many of the popular family attractions will return this June. The Red Car Show will be on the Fairgrounds from 10AM to 3PM. Red cars and trucks of all vintages are welcomed. The cost is $10 per car and there is no cut-off date to enter. For details of the car show, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call (203)799-6748. Musical entertainment, children’s games, face painting and rides are scheduled throughout the day.
Vendor applications are still being accepted. Last year the Festival had more that 70 vendor booths with displays by artists, handcrafters, local business owners, and antique dealers. Applications are available on the church website at www.orangecongregationalchurch.org. or call (203)795-9749.
