Ansonia Nature Center – 12/16/22

Oozing Oobleck – Tuesday, December 27, 11:00 a.m.

Join Lisa from the Regional Water Authority for this water science program.  After reading Bartholomew and the Oobleck by Dr. Seuss, the children will explore the properties of different liquids and whether those properties change when materials are combined to make oobleck.  FREE.  Ages 6 and up.  Register at ansnaturectr@ansoniact.org.

Sunday Guided Hikes – Sundays, 1 pm

Join a Nature Center guide on Sunday afternoons for fun, exercise, and learning.  See the above listings for hikes with a specific theme.  FREE.

Saturday Creature Feature – Saturday, 12 pm

Come to meet our furry, scaly, and feathery animal ambassadors.  You’ll have a chance to touch and hold them in this FREE family program for all ages.

Monday Morning Hikes – 9 am

Hike the Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center trails for a positive start to your week.  Come and learn about the history and ecology of the land while Ranger Dan, our Assistant Director, leads this weekly hike on our beautiful nature preserve.  We will begin promptly at 9:00 am.  Dress for the weather and conditions.  No pets, please.  FREE.  Please register in advance at ansnaturectr@ansoniact.org.
