Due to the decline in the economy, there are more families struggling this year to provide heat and food for their households. Woodbridge Human Services has kicked off a Warm Hearts, Warm Homes Campaign to seek donations for the Town Fuel/Food Fund. The drive will run through December 31st. These funds provide Woodbridge residents who are income qualified with emergency assistance with their primary heating source and emergency food.
On December 18th, the staff of Woodbridge Human Services will be distributing holiday food baskets to families in need. Donations of gift cards for groceries are needed.
Anyone wishing to make a donation can make out a check to the Town of Woodbridge Fuel/Food Fund. Checks should be mailed to Woodbridge Human Services Department, 11 Meetinghouse Lane, Woodbridge, CT 06525. Gift cards can be dropped off at Woodbridge Human Services, 4 Meetinghouse Lane, Room 14.
Please consider donations to assist our Woodbridge families to brighten their holiday.
