The Woodbridge Rotary Club recently honored Amity High School senior Danielle Grosso as Student of the Month for February. Each month, the Woodbridge Rotary Club partners with Solun Tapas Restaurant to honor an Amity High School student. “Academically, Danielle’s achievement is phenomenal and places her in the top two percent of a strong senior class,” according to Amity High School Counselor Gerilyn Ferguson who nominated Danielle for this honor. Danielle’s academic success has resulted in membership in the Spanish National Honor Society, Chinese Honor Society, and National Honor Society.
Her extracurricular activities include being a four-year member of the soccer team as well as the South Central Premier soccer club. Through her participation in Infinite Possibilities, the club goes to Bethany Community School to educate fourth grade girls about STEM and to encourage participation within the field. Also, through being a member of the National Spanish Honor Society, she has been a role model going to Fairhaven School in New Haven to help teach Spanish-speaking students. Danielle feels blessed to be able to inspire the students and in turn be inspired by them. Ms. Grosso has also been an active participant of the freshman orientation program Link Crew where she has shared her energy and optimism with the students as they transition to high school.
Danielle Grosso resides in Bethany with her parents Rob and Julie Grosso.
