Joyce is running for re-election to the Woodbridge Board of Education, after having been appointed to fill a vacancy last year.
Her managerial, legal and international experience distinguish her as a Woodbridge Board of Education member. Joyce has worked at the law firms of Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Simpson Thacher in New York City. She has also run HR departments for Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking division in Asia, Goldman Sachs’ global Private Equity division in New York as well as Cantor Fitzgerald firmwide.
Joyce and her husband Tim moved to Woodbridge in 2013 and are the parents of two Beecher Road School students, a son in fourth grade and a daughter who will enter first grade this fall. Joyce is looking forward to continuing to enhance learning opportunities at Beecher. On a volunteer basis, she started and ran the after school Chinese language and culture program as well as the FIRST Lego League science and robotics team competition program. She also spearheaded the parent effort to establish the WBOE Ad Hoc Enrichment committee to address the educational needs of all students.
Joyce earned a BA from Yale College and a JD from Yale Law School. Joyce says, “People move to Woodbridge because of Beecher Road School. I am committed to helping Beecher maintain its excellent reputation as a school that meets the needs of all our students.”
