Kim grew up in Hamden and has been a Woodbridge resident since 2002. She is married to Bill Giangrande and has three children. Son Hunter DeFrank is a freshman at UCONN, daughter Spencer DeFrank is a senior at Amity Regional High School and daughter Gianna Giangrande is a 6th grader at Beecher Road School.
Kim earned her BS, MSM and MBA from Albertus Magnus College. She is an executive level Human Resource Consultant with IntuitiveHR, LLC a small but environmentally sensitive company. It strives to be completely paperless and clients are urged to move in the same direction.
As a Strategic Human Resource Professional, Kim uses her extensive senior executive experience to develop Human Resource infrastructure from the foundational level to support the strategic direction and cultural aspirations of an organization. She combines her past experiences in customer service and business operations with her human resources knowledge to create programs that foster engagement by balancing corporate goals with employee interests.
With dual certifications in Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) and Global Professional Human Resources (GPHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute Kim has mastered the body of knowledge in the field of HR. In recognition of her senior level contribution to the Human Resource field, Kim was selected by Thomson West Aspatore Publishing to be represented in their Inside the Minds series. She has also written several ExecBlueprints articles.
In addition to her professional consulting, Kim is an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Haven in its MBA program. Kim has volunteered in her children’s classrooms and as a Girl Scout Leader. She is now ready to volunteer at the town level, hoping to maintain the qualities of Woodbridge that her family found so attractive.
