The family of Gail Mayer would like to thank all the emergency services in the Town of Orange, the ambulance service (AMR), the Police Dept., the Fire Dept., the Orange VNA and Connecticut Hospice for the rapid response times during the years and the very tender, empathetic, compassionate and skilled care provided to Gail and given to our family. We also want to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, Physician Assistants, Personal Care Assistants, Physical Therapists at Smilow Cancer Center at Yale New Haven Hospital for the outstanding care given to Gail.
Gail passed away on January 12, 2019. She fought a courageous and fierce nine year battle against ovarian cancer. During that time, she was and will continue as a role model for our family. She rarely, if ever, complained about how she felt or of the battle she was fighting. She always had a positive attitude. Family was the most important thing in her life. She always made sure that no matter how ill she felt to spend intimate time with her family and attend all family holidays and functions especially as related to her three grandsons.
Thanks Gail for being an exceptional wife, fantastic mother and devoted grandmother.
