If you chose to live in Woodbridge because of the strong school system, then Mary Welander is your candidate for the 114th District. Mary is in every sense of the term, “an education candidate”. Mary will work tirelessly to support safe and quality public education in our town and across the state. Mary has served on the Orange Board of Education since 2017, and as Co-President of the Racebrook School Parent Teacher Association. She serves as a Connecticut Ambassador for Sandy Hook Promise, bringing education-based violence prevention programs to schools and organizations. She has advocated at the state and national level for school safety measures and the funding to back up these critical programs.
Most recently, she worked tirelessly to implement a very successful school reopening in Orange as a member of Orange’s reopening committee. If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Mary, you know that her current service and desire to serve as our State Rep. comes from her good heart and sincere desire to help her community. Mary exemplifies honesty, fairness, and thoughtfulness. Mary will use those qualities to work across the aisle in the State House to achieve results. Simply put, Woodbridge needs Mary to represent us in Hartford. Join me in supporting Mary Welander for the 114th District in the Connecticut House of Representatives.
