Woodbridge Board of Education

Lynn Piascyk is seeking election to the Woodbridge Board of Education. She is a current member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Elected first in 2003 as an alternate member, Lynn has served as a regular member of the ZBA since 2005.

A resident of Woodbridge since 1964, Lynn previously served on the Human Services Commission where she held the office of Secretary. She is a member of the Woodbridge Republican Town Committee and the First Church of Christ. Lynn also serves as a Justice of the Peace. Lynn holds a B.S., M.S., and Sixth Year Professional Degree of Advanced Study as a Classroom Teacher Specialist. She recently retired from Beecher Road School. During her 36 year tenure she was presented the Award of Excellence for Distinguished Service and was the district’s 1993 Teacher of the Year. In 2011, Lynn was named Educator of the Year by the Turkish Cultural Center of Connecticut.

Piascyk said, “Woodbridge has always been well known for its excellent education system. I am a graduate of Beecher Road School and Amity High School as well as an educator with 36 years as a classroom teacher. My life and career experiences will allow me to bring a unique perspective to the Woodbridge Board of Education. It will be my priority to assure that the school remains in the forefront of educational excellence. We must never forget that the future lies with today’s children.”
