Town residents and Beecher Road School parents in particular will benefit from the experience and expertise of Woodbridge Board of Education candidate Maegan Genovese, the mother of a thriving, ‘third year’ MAG student. She earned a BA in Psychology from WCSU and an MS in Research, Statistics, and Measurement in the Behavioral Sciences from SCSU. Maegan’s eldest child, a 21-year-old daughter, is adding to the family legacy as a junior at WCSU.
A town resident since 2013, Maegan is eager to expand her community service. She is a professional data analyst, eager to bring these skills to bear on behalf of continuing excellence at Beecher Road School, where she sees an application for her abilities in curriculum planning, budgeting, and staffing.
In fact, with over 13 years’ experience in research initiatives covering child welfare, behavioral health, education strategies, and social services, it could be said Maegan’s career has furnished her with tailor-made and reliable prerequisites for a productive and successful tenure on the board.
“My commitment to public education is borne of a responsibility I feel to provide for our children every opportunity to succeed, making available the tools necessary for each student to realize his or her potential and ensuring the ability to use those tools,” Maegan said.
Maegan is currently employed at The Consultation Center at the Yale University School of Medicine, in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Prevention and Community Research.
