“Strutt” your stuff – with or without your Mutt – around Town Center and the site of the future dog park on the Fitzgerald Property. On Saturday, June 1, at Woodbridge Town Center, the Woodbridge Dog Park Cooperative welcomes the entire community to join them for food, fun, friends and music for a fundraising walk-a-thon to support the construction of our new dog park. This will be a gentle 2K stroll for all ages on walking trails and off-road paths. Costumes encouraged – you may win a contest for most creative or best team spirit. Form a team or walk as an individual.
Spring Blooms at Woodbridge Town Center on June 1 with a number of community events beginning at 9am: in addition to the Mutt Strutt, the Garden Club will hold a plant sale, and the Friends of the Woodbridge Library will hold a book sale. All activities take place in and around the Woodbridge Library.
Since receiving approval for our site last August, we have raised 40% of the $60,000 needed to build the park. With your help, all of us can enjoy gathering together in our new dog park this year – before the snow flies!
Mutt Strutt check-in: 9:30am. Walk begins at 10:30am with festivities to follow from 11 to 12:30. Like most walk-a-thons, there is a modest registration fee of $10, and to multiply the impact, all participants are urged to seek donation pledges for their walk from families, friends and businesses. To register to join the Mutt Strutt and multiply your contribution, contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org; on Facebook at Woodbridge Dog Park Cooperative; our website: woodbridgedogpark.org., or by mail at: 10 Timber Lane, Woodbridge, CT 06525. We will also be providing information and registration forms at the Fitzgerald Property in the coming weeks. As we are an all-volunteer non-profit, all donations will go directly towards the construction of the dog park.
