One Engineer’s ‘Trajectory’ in the Visual Arts

One Engineer’s ‘Trajectory’ in the Visual Arts

This exhibition of  32 original prints and water-color paintings by Daniel Rosner, on view at the Woodbridge Town Library during the month of June 2015, spans over a 60-year creative period. Chronologically beginning with a woodcut and two water-color paintings completed upon graduating from the High School of Music & Art (NYC) as Class of 1951 August St. Gaudens Medalist, this collection includes an etching, collagraph, linoleum cut and 2 woodcuts done in the midst of Dan’s career as a Professor of Chemical Engineering at Yale University.   It concludes with a series of water-color paintings completed in the last 3 years during his period of phased-retirement—-several of which were featured in recent exhibits of the New Haven Paint & Clay Club, Creative Arts Workshop, Hamden Art League, Arts Council,  Yale’s  Morse College and Koerner Center, and at the local public libraries of Orange and Hamden, CT.
