Amity Board of Education incumbent Pat Cardozo has served on the district board since 2008, steering Amity Schools through a Superintendent transition, a wholesale shift in state testing protocol and most recently, installation of the innovative, alternative energy microgrid system.
Pat and her husband, Mica, have lived in Woodbridge for more than 20 years. Their daughters each attended public schools where Pat and Mica were fixtures throughout the girls’ standout volleyball and basketball careers.
Since she arrived, Pat has been a member of the Garden Club of Woodbridge and has also served on the town’s Library Commission.
“My husband and I moved to Woodbridge nearly 23 years ago for its outstanding public schools and its exceptional quality of life. As a realtor, I am particularly attuned to the value of excellence in public education, which attracts so many newcomers to our town,” Cardozo said.
“As a two-term member of the Amity Board of Education it is a distinct honor to serve Woodbridge residents. Members of the board work well together to balance the needs of our high performing district with a cost conscious budget. As a member of the personnel and finance sub-committees I will continue working hard to realize cost savings and efficiencies for the taxpayer while providing the best possible educational experience for all students,” she added.
Pat works from the Woodbridge office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. She earned a BA in Communications from SCSU and an MBA in Marketing from UNH.
