Taijiquan (T’ai-Chi) & Qigong with Bill Banick
Taijiquan is an ancient Chinese martial art based on internal energy or “chi”. It uses slow flowing and connected movement to integrate the mind and body and generate flexibility, strength, and well-being. Receive individualized instruction offered within a group setting. Classes consist of seated and standing exercises (Qigong), taiji walking, and traditional taiji forms. Thursdays, 5:30 pm, April 8 through June 24. Register at woodbridgect.org
Rain or Shine Summer Camp
Woodbridge Recreation Summer camps will run, rain or shine, June 28 through Aug. 6, 9 am – noon at Beecher Road South School for campers entering grades 1-8. Camp offers a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, drama, fitness, swimming and more. Three week minimum registration. Due to a limited amount of spaces, no mail in registration accepted. Register online at woodbridgect.org or in the Rec Dept. Office. Registrations opens to all Woodbridge Residents on April 26th. Those enrolled in 2020 Virtual Summer Camp or 2020 Sports Camp have priority registration the week of April 19-23.
Town Fitness Center
Town Fitness Center is re-opening to Woodbridge residents only, on Saturday, April 10th. The Fitness Center will be available Saturdays and Sundays to Woodbridge members by reservation only; drop ins are not accepted. Resident seniors over 65 years of age are free. Call 203-389-3446 during Recreation Office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm to make a reservation. Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 to 9:30 am, 10:00 to 11:30 am, 12:00 to 1:30 pm, are the time slots available. Masks to be worn at all times and social distancing enforced. Maximum 6 per session.
