Robert Rosasco III, candidate for the Amity Board of Education, has been a Woodbridge resident since 2011. He lives here with his wife Sarah and young daughter. When looking to settle down in Connecticut, he and his wife knew there were excellent schools in the state, but the excellence of Beecher Road School and Amity Regional Schools combined with Woodbridge’s quiet setting, parks and trails sealed the deal.
As a father of a future Woodbridge/Amity student, Rob hopes the top notch education for his daughter can remain with a mindfulness of the present and future tax burden upon its residents.
Rob is an attorney practicing patent and commercial law for a U.S. company and as such, knows where to look for savings and how to restructure spending without sacrificing results. As a former Division I athlete, he also knows the importance of teamwork and thinks that he can facilitate cooperation to push through difficult decisions towards the best path forward.
As a graduate of a Connecticut Region 15 high school with several relatives that are students and teachers in Connecticut and other New England towns, he has a good grasp on the benchmarks that Amity must meet to remain one of the top rated school systems.
