Current Amity Board of Education member Robyn Berke stepped up several years ago to fill a vacancy on the Board and immediately became an integral part of its operation. During her tenure she has contributed to the smooth transition to a new principal and a new superintendent.
Her eldest son is a 2016 Amity High School graduate, her daughter attends Amity Middle School in Bethany, and her younger son is enrolled at Beecher Road School, providing perspective to her work on the Amity board’s curriculum sub-committee.
Robyn has extensive experience in public service having served on the Woodbridge Conservation Commission, the Town Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Tax Assessment Appeals.
Robyn also serves in the community through Congregation Mishkan Israel as a member of its endowment fund committee.
She and her husband Rob have lived in town since 1994; she is an attorney practicing in the Law Office of Robert Berke, LLC. Robyn earned a BA from SUNY Albany and her JD from Hofstra Law School.
