From the Senior Center – 5/6/16



The Woodbridge Senior Center provides door-to-door transportation on weekdays for Woodbridge senior citizens and disabled residents in need of non-emergencies. We have 2 buses that are lift-equipped to handle wheelchairs and also car.

Appointments must be made at least three days in advance by calling 203-389-3430. This is a great opportunity to go grocery shopping on Wednesday’s from 9:00 to 1:00 or come to the center for lunch on Tuesday’s & Friday’s. Services include doctor’s appointments. All medical appointments should be between 9:00 am and must conclude by 2:30 pm for out of town transportation.

Riders make a suggested donation of $3.00 for local rides and a suggested donation between $4.00 and $7.00 for out of town medical appointments. Attendants ride for free.

We Are Pleased To Announce “Painting For Pleasure”

Taught by Graham Dale who is an artist, muralist and designer. If you like to work in acrylic, oil or watercolor, you are welcome to join. It makes no difference if you are a beginner, just enjoy painting or are an established artist. The art class will be held in the Senior Center on Wednesday’s from 10 to 12, for 10 weeks, starting on May 4th. The cost is $60.00 for the 10 classes and is limited to 10 people. Bring A Friend To Lunch

May is “Bring a Friend to Lunch” month, and the friend’s meal is free. So, ask a friend or neighbor to attend and come as our guest. Lunch is served at 12:15 in the Senior Center Cafeteria on Tuesday’s and Friday’s. This is also a great opportunity to meet our new cook Rich Inzero and his assistant Karen Chartoff.
