Dean’s List

Central Connecticut State University

New Britain, CT – Central Connecticut State University President Zulma R. Toro is proud to announce the students who earned a spot on the Dean’s List for the spring 2019 semester.  To achieve this academic distinction, an undergraduate student at CCSU must carry at least 12 academic credits during the semester and earn at least a 3.50 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA.  The student from Woodbridge who earned a place on the Dean’s List are:  Dawn Rosenberg.

Fairfield University

Fairfield, CT – The following Fairfield University students received Dean’s List Honors for the Spring 2019 semester.  In order to be placed on the Dean’s List, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours in a semester, have no outstanding or incomplete grades for that semester, and have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better.  Those from Woodbridge placed on the Dean’s List are:  Madison Bietsch, Barak Davidi, Sally-Ann DeLucia, and Leah Saulsberry.

Goodwin College

East Hartford, CT—Goodwin College announces that 992 students achieved Dean’s List status for the Spring 2019 session.  Those from Woodbridge named to the Dean’s List are:  Michael Berkley and Renee Pascarelli.

Loyola University Maryland

Baltimore, MD—Sadie Semrau, a member of the class of 2022 from Woodbridge, has been named to the spring 2019 Dean’s List at Loyola University Maryland.  In order to qualify for the Dean’s List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Purchase College

Purchase, NY—Purchase College announced that more than 1,300 students were named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester.  Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and taken a minimum of 12 credits.  For BA and BS programs, a semester GPA of 3.50 is required.  For BFA and MusB programs, a semester GPA of 3.75 is required.  Woodbridge residents Megan Ciarleglio, a Graphic Design major and Daniel Kuriakose, a Creative Writing, Literature major have been named to the Dean’s List.

University of Hartford

West Hartford, CT—The University of Hartford is pleased to announce Domenico Canepari of Woodbridge has been named to its Dean’s List for Spring 2019.

University of New Hampshire

Durham, NH—Jordan Conn of Woodbridge has been named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire for earning High Honors for the spring 2019 semester.  Conn is majoring in Communication.  Students named to the Dean’s List are students who have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance during a semester enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits).  Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0.  Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.

Washington University in St. Louis

St Louis, Mo.  – The following Woodbridge students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester at Washington University in St. Louis:

Lauren Duhl recently graduated from the university’s College of Arts & Sciences.  To qualify for the dean’s list in the College of Arts & Sciences, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and complete at least 14 graded units;

Daniel Pollak recently graduated from the university’s McKelvey School of Engineering.  To qualify for the dean’s list in the McKelvey School of Engineering, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and complete at least 12 graded units;

Mollie Seidner is enrolled in the university’s McKelvey School of Engineering.  To qualify for the dean’s list in the McKelvey School of Engineering, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and complete at least 12 graded units; and

Matthew Whitehill is enrolled in the university’s McKelvey School of Engineering.  To qualify for the dean’s list in the McKelvey School of Engineering, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and complete at least 12 graded units.

Graduations

Eastern Connecticut State University

Willimantic, CT—More than 1,250 Eastern Connecticut State University students received their diplomas in the 2018-19 academic year.  Eastern’s commencement ceremony occurred May 21 at the XL Center in Hartford.  Woodbridge graduates who graduated in Spring 2019 were:  Jessica Ahern graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology; Kimberly Griffin graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Criminology; Nadia Siena graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration; and Alexandria Stefanou graduated with a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education.

University of New Haven

West Haven, CT – The following Woodbridge students received degrees from the University of New Haven at Commencement ceremonies in May:  Mark Dutka, Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Law Enforcement Administration; Thuy Miller, Tagliatela College of Engineering, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering; Alese Torgerson, College of Arts and Sciences, a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design; and Emily Torgerson, College of Arts and Sciences, a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design.

Western Connecticut State University

Danbury, CT — Western Connecticut State University conferred associate or bachelor’s degrees upon the following Woodbridge students on Sunday, May 19, at the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport: t Alexandra Blum, BA Interdisciplinary Studies; Kayla-Ashley Connolly, BA Art.
