Local Resident Thomas Barone Named To Dean’s List At Choate Rosemary Hall

Thomas Barone, son of Darlene Barone of Woodbridge, was named to the Dean’s List during the winter term at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT. To be selected for the Dean’s List, students must carry a minimum of five full-credit courses during the term, achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 of higher and earn no grade lower than a B.

Hannah Bercovici Earns Dean’s Award Recognition At Colgate University

Hamilton, NY—Hannah Bercovici, a Environmental Geology major from Woodbridge, CT, has earned the Deans Award for academic excellence at Colgate University for the Fall 2014 semester. Students with a 3.30 or higher term average while enrolled in 3.75 or more course hours are eligible for Deans Award recognition at Colgate.

Area Residents Named To Dean’s List At Fairfield University

Fairfield, CT—Fairfield University has announced that the following Woodbridge residents have been named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2014 semester: Henry Guo, Dimitri Skuret, Evan Donahue, and David Horwich. To be selected for the Dean’s List, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5, of a possible 4.0.

Jessica Lassiter Makes Goodwin Dean’s List For Fall 2014

East Hartford, CT—Jessica Lassiter has earned a spot on the Goodwin College Dean’s List for the Fall 2014. Lassiter, a student from Woodbridge, is one of 943 students to make the Dean’s List, reserved for those who demonstrate great academic performance. Dean’s List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify.

Academic Honor For Local Residents At John Hopkins University

Baltimore, Md.—The following Woodbridge residents were named to the Dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2014 semester at Johns Hopkins University: Emily Presseller and Avi Mahajan.

Emily Presseller, class of 2018,who is majoring in an arts and sciences pre-major, is the daughter of Allen Presseller and Susan Kelley and attended Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge, Conn.

Avi Mahajan, class of 2018, is attending the Whiting School of Engineering at John Hopkins University. He is the son of Dr. Amit Mahajan, MD and Dr. Kavita Joshi-Mahajan and is a graduate of The Hopkins School in New Haven, CT.

To be selected for this honor, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale in a program of at least 14 credits with at least 12 graded credits

Woodbridge Resident Haejin Park Makes The Fall 2014 Dean’s List At Pratt Institute

Brooklyn, NY—Haejin Park, Woodbridge resident and a student at the prestigious Pratt Institute, was among more than 1,100 students who made the Dean’s List in the Fall 2014 semester.

Elizabeth Jackson Perkins Named To Deans List At Washington University In St. Louis

St. Louis, MO—Elizabeth Jackson Perkins of Woodbridge, CT was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2014 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. Perkins is enrolled in the university’s College of Art. To qualify for the Dean’s List in the College of Art, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or above and be enrolled in at least 14 graded units.

Alexander Tellides Earns High Honors

Woodbridge resident Alexander Tellides was among the Upper School and Middle School students who received academic honors for the first semester at Chase Collegiate School in Waterbury. Faculty Honors is the highest academic honor for students earning a 92 or above; High Honors students have earned an 88 or above; and Honors students have earned an 85 or above.

Alexandra Schwaber Studying Abroad As Part Of Union College Program

Schenectady, NY—Alexandra Schwaber, of Woodbridge, CT, is studying abroad this spring as part of a Union College international program. Schwaber, is majoring in Psychology and a member of the Class of 2016, is in London, England, studying European government, politics, culture and globalization.
