To the editor,
I am writing to thank First Selectman Ellen Scalettar and the town’s Emergency Response Team for getting Woodbridge through a challenging winter. As a Wisconsin native, my expectations for handling winter weather well are pretty high! Thanks to a well coordinated ERT team, Woodbridge residents were ensured efficient snow removal and public safety.
I remember the video of Ellen recording the call that went out in January giving an update on local preparation for the “big storm” that ended up not so bad here in Woodbridge. (I am one of the over 800 residents who have signed up for the new Town of Woodbridge emails.) The newly established “reverse 911” call system kept residents well informed about local conditions.
Now that spring is here (we hope), we forget all the work needed to keep our streets clear and our homes safe. Thank you to Ellen and our dedicated town employees!
