The First Church of Christ Woodbridge invites all members of the community to join us at 5 Meetinghouse Lane in Woodbridge for the following weekly services and special events:
We are pleased to announce a Lenten sermon series Hope in Facing Death. For five Sundays in Lent Senior Pastor, the Rev. Shepard Parsons and Seminary Intern Anya Powers will be preaching on biblical understandings of death. Specific topics are noted below in the listing of church services.
Also, a reminder that Nenad Ivovic our church organist and internationally award-winning pianist, and internationally award-winning clarinetist, Milos Bjelica will be performing Prelude 4 Spring with selections from Brahms, Schumann, Poulenc & Grgin, on Saturday March 9th, at 4 pm in the church Meetinghouse. There will be a reception following the concert in the Parish House. The concert and reception are open to the public. There will be a free will offering.
Sunday Services – 10 a.m. including our Intergenerational Service the first Sunday of each month. Nursery care for small children is available during the Sunday services. The sermons topics for Lent are as follows:
March 10: What does the Bible say about death?
March 17: Different ways the Bible talks life after death.
March 24: Death and hope of judgement.
March 31: Death and hope of heaven.
April 7: Death and the hope of resurrection.
April 14: Palm/Passion Sunday special service
Church School – Sunday at 10 a.m. the second through fifth Sundays during the school year. The middle school curriculum is based on Middle School Talk Sheets which provides a Christian perspective on how to handle common issues effecting the lives of our youth. The younger students are watching Veggie Tales which explores stories from the Bible with common concerns for preschoolers.

Boy Scout Troop 907 – meets weekly on Thursdays at 7 pm. Congratulations to Troop 907 for winning their sixth Klondike Derby at the 96th Annual Hunger Games this past January.
Weekly Bible Study – Wednesday, 10-11 a.m., in the Parish House. We study both Old and New Testament passages based on the Lectionary. Bible study is open to the community so everyone in the community is welcome.
