The annual fundraiser will feature 50+ wines, more than 13 breweries with 40+ beers, distilled beverage bars & loads of food from fabulous local restaurants.  Follow them on Facebook for updates, including info about raffle items and more.  A DJ will entertain you throughout the evening.

The Nicole Donzello Foundation is the brainchild of Woodbridge resident Nicole Donzello, who has been battling leukemia for a number of years now.  During the course of her treatments, she has met several patients who find themselves stretched to the limit due to financial burden and other responsibilities.  The Foundation is stepping in to help ease the burden.

Last year, with the funds raised at this event, the foundation awarded 18 need-based monetary grants averaging $1,642 per grant to patients and their families at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven Hospital.  In 2021 14 grants were awarded averaging $1,645 per patient.

One of the recipients posted the following letter on the Foundation’s Facebook page, “I have leukemia, and with this diagnosis my whole world changed.  I have not worked this year and most likely will not return to work anytime in the near future.  I am home bound, other than my medical appointments and treatments.  But then that sweet day came when a lovely gift arrived in my mailbox from The Nicole Donzello Foundation…When I received the donation, I felt deep gratitude because I knew I wasn’t alone.  I knew someone cared about me, that my life matters.”

When donors give to the Nicole Donzello Foundation, they are giving far more than money, it also tells the recipient that their life is valuable and that they are not forgotten.  “Best of luck with your treatment, Sarah, and remember- you are NEVER alone,” Donzello answered back.
