Candidate, Amity Regional Board of Education
Tom Handler, M.D., is running for the Amity Board of Education to further his service to the Town of Woodbridge. He has served a four-year term on the Woodbridge Board of Education, to which he was elected in 2007. While on the Woodbridge Board, he served as Vice Chair of the Board, as Chair of the Finance Committee and as a member of the Policy Committee and the Ad Hoc Technology Committee. Tom is strongly committed to working with the Amity Board and Administration to maintain and improve on Amity’s already exemplary teaching environment.
Tom was born and raised in Woodbridge and attended our local schools. He and his wife, Joann Knudsen, M.D., have two daughters, one a sophomore student at Amity Regional High School and the other a freshman at Yale University.
Tom works as a Physician Consultant after earning his B.A. from Yale College and his M.D. from Yale School of Medicine.
