The preliminary budget request presented to town residents was nothing but predictable. “We need more money”. We only want a 3 percent increase. One has to ask the question 3 percent of what? The town budget is sorely inflated placing undue tax burden on all of us. Ellen Scalettar and her administration is suffering from the same malady that plagues the State of Connecticut. Excessive Spending Syndrome. In addition, there is a pervasive attitude by the administration, if you don’t like it sell your home and move, we will get someone else to pay the freight.
I have lived here 20 years and love this town but it is imperative the people of Woodbridge unite to oppose any increases. Make the town government fiscally responsible and force them to live within their means.
