Trinity Cares International (TCI), a Christian humanitarian mission organization from Trinity Church in Woodbridge has received a generous donation from Watson Inc of West Haven. CT to provide vitamin donations for Trinity Cares mission work. TCI has adopted a community in Consuelo, Dominican Republic, and since 2010, TCI has worked on providing medical and dental clinics for the poor & underserved population. TCI has also established sustainability programs, construction projects and micro-loans to encourage small business enterprise.
Watson, Inc was intrigued by TCI’s work and wanted to help in a tangible way. Watson, Inc. will provide 380,000 vitamin tablets along with packaging in Spanish for the TCI Mission Team to deliver to the Dominican Republic people this June. Trinity Cares team members will host a packing party at Trinity Church in Woodbridge, Tuesday, May 19th at 5 PM. The purpose of the event is to package the vitamins in bottles and apply the labeling.
This event is a great example of the business community and a non-profit organization working together for a positive outcome in helping their fellow man. Trinity Cares International will travel again his summer to Consuelo with a team of 18 from June 20-27th providing Medical, Dental and Construction support.
