Upcoming Events and Workshops At Massaro Community Farm

Dinner on the Farm 2018 – Farm-to-Table Fundraiser

Sunday, September 2, Massaro Community Farm, 41 Ford Road, Woodbridge, CT, 4:30 – 9:00pm

Join us for the annual Dinner on the Farm event, a celebration featuring an all-inclusive meal, open bar, dessert, coffee, and silent auction.  The family style meal (including vegetarian options) is exquisitely prepared by award-winning chef and owner of Zinc, Denise Appel.  Guests dine amid the fields and flowers of the farm.  Admittance includes a farm tour, open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and games.  Proceeds support the farm’s commitment to farm-based education and the thousands of pounds of produce we donate each season to those in need.  Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased online (meal value $75).

Beekeeping Workshop – Winter Hive Preparation

Saturday, September 15, Massaro Community Farm, 9:00am and 11:30am

Hosted by the farm and conducted by Ted Jones (Jones Apiary, Farmington) and the Connecticut Beekeeper’s Association.  Advanced registration is not required for these hands-on sessions in the farm’s apiary.  Beekeeping workshops generally run 75-90 minutes.  Suggested donation $10/pp.  Only steady rain cancels.
