Wanda is a lifelong resident of Woodbridge. In fact her family can trace their roots in Woodbridge back to the late 1800s. She started grade school at Center School and finished at Beecher Road School, continuing through and graduating from Amity Regional High School. She attended American University in Washington, D.C. earning a BS in Visual Communications. Wanda worked in the corporate sector for CBS and ABC for seven years before retiring to raise 3 children with husband of 31 years, Steven Kesses. Their son Kyle and daughters Kasey and Kortney all attended Beecher Road School and graduated from Amity.
Although Wanda ‘retired’ from the corporate world to be home with her kids, she kept busy. She and her cousin purchased 25 acres to develop a subdivision in Woodbridge. To xkick off the project Wanda first drew her own blueprints and acted as General Contractor to build her current home on Nettleton Road. She then continued to work with town hall, engineers and a developer to extend and develop the rest of the Nettleton Road area. Once that project was completed, Wanda drew blueprints and built one more house in Woodbridge. Currently she works on new home and remodeling design projects, as well as landscape design projects.
As a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, she has taught CCD for the past eighteen years, has served as a Lector and on the Parish Council Committee.
