January Lunch Menu
Lunch is served Tuesdays and Fridays at the Center Café at 12:15 pm. The cost is $3 for dine-in meals and $4 for take-out. Reservations are requested. Meals include bread, juice, coffee/tea and dessert. Menu items: ½ garlic chicken, rice and vegetable, 1/5 eggplant parmesan with pasta, 1/9 linguini with clam sauce, 1/12 kielbasa, cabbage and baked noodles, 1/16 roast beef, mashed potatoes and vegetable, 1/19 moussaka (eggplant casserole), 1/23 meatballs and manicotti, 1/26 assorted sandwiches and soup, 1/30 shrimp stir-fry.

December 29 – New Year Celebration! Lunch program entertainment with John Paolillo at 12:30 pm. Lunch begins at 12:15 pm and reservations are requested.

January 16 – 12:30 Gait and Balance Program with Family Care Visiting Nurse Home Care Agency. Lunch begins at 12:15 pm, reservations are preferred.
January 23 – Tea Party with New England Young at Heart, 1-2 pm in café. Join us for an informational program about the healthy benefits of organic teas. Scones and biscotti will be served. The class is $2.00-please reserve your spot.
January 30 – Lunch program entertainment with Katie Devlin at 12:30 pm. Lunch begins at 12:15 pm, reservations are preferred.
February 6 – Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program begins. VITA is a free tax preparation service available to low-income individuals, people who have a disability, and those who speak limited English. Appointments are made through Human Services and the Woodbridge Center and are available Tuesdays from 9-12 through April 11. Call for information on required documents.

Pickleball: Meets Fridays in the Center Gym for group play from 12:30-3:30 pm. Self-scheduled hours are available for those who have paid annual fee of $20. Interested players can make arrangements with other players or use our Doodle scheduling tool and drop in daily from 12:30 pm –2:15 pm Monday thru Thursday.
Exercise with Laurie: Class resumes on January 2nd. Workout includes a combination of strength training, cardio, flexibility and balance. Bring your own weights if you have them. Class is at the Center Café, Tuesday and Thursday, 10 – 11 am. No need to sign up – just pay a drop in fee of $2 and stay for a great workout!
Kripalu Chair Yoga with Julie Luciani: Wednesdays at 11 am in the Center Gym. Classes include seated exercises, standing balance exercises and simple standing poses using a chair.
Book Club: The next meeting is December 19. This month’s book is The Boat Rocker by Hajim. New members are always welcome- stop by the library to pick up your copy of the book at the Adult Services desk. The book club will meet on January 23 for a discussion of Manhattan Beach by Jennifer Egan.
Friday Movies: Following lunch in the Center lounge at approximately 1 pm: 12/15 Viceroy’s House, 12/22 Dunkirk, 12/28 Elf!
Ask the Nurse – 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month 11 am – 12:30 pm, blood pressure screenings, weight and conversation with a registered nurse from VNA Community Healthcare.
Duplicate Bridge: Mondays, 9:30 am, Center Café.
Bridge: The Center’s Wednesday bridge group invites new members! Join the group for a friendly game of cards. No reservations necessary– just come down to the Center lounge at 1 pm.
Pinochle: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 1-4 pm, Center lounge. The group is always looking for new players and is willing to bring rusty players up to speed!
Mah-jong: Mondays and Fridays, 10 am, Center Building- room 11.
Top: Woodbridge Center members enjoy a wonderful holiday luncheon sponsored by the Woodbridge Rotary Club. This annual event featured a delicious meal served by Rotary Club members and with entertainment provided by Karyn Wagner.
Bottom: Woodbridge Rotary Club member Buddy DeGennaro serves local seniors during the Annual Woodbridge Center Holiday Luncheon. More than 20 Rotarians attended and served over 110 participants a delicious luncheon prepared by Center chef Elaine Marcucio.
