The campaign committee working toward the re-election of First Selectman Beth Heller, after a recent, successful kickoff event, has opened its official headquarters ahead of this year’s municipal election, scheduled to be held Monday, May 6. To celebrate, First Selectman Heller and her team of candidates will welcome community members Saturday morning, April 13, to the headquarters at 180 Amity Road, on the second floor, in the office space above the former Wheeler’s Restaurant.
The public is invited from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The entrance to the suite is from the side of the building; light refreshments will be served, and residents are encouraged to present questions, comments, and suggestions to candidates regarding Woodbridge town government.
The March 30 kickoff celebration featured U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Connecticut Democratic Party Chair Nancy Wyman, former Woodbridge First Selectmen Nan Birdwhistell and Ellen Scalettar, and many local luminaries.
For the remainder of the campaign, volunteers are needed to promote the good work First Selectman Heller has done while in office of behalf of the town and its residents. All those interested can drop by campaign headquarters, call the campaign phone line at 203-936-9336, and/or visit the campaign website bethheller.org with questions or to become more involved.
For further information or with questions about the April 13 event, residents are invited to send an email to the campaign at WoodbridgeCTdems@gmail.com.
