Woodbridge Dems Choose Slate for Municipal Election

The Woodbridge Democratic Caucus unanimously endorsed the following slate of candidates for the Town election on Monday, May 4, 2015: First Selectman: Ellen Scalettar; Board of Selectmen: Laurence Grotheer, Beth Heller, Susan L. Jacobs; Woodbridge Board of Education: Margaret Hamilton, Emily B. Melnick; Amity Board of Education: Sheila McCreven, Thomas Handler; Board of Assessment Appeals: Claire Coleman; Zoning Board of Appeals: David Speranzini; Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate: Arlene Levine.

At the Caucus, First Selectman Ellen Scalettar, running for re-election, thanked the Caucus members for their confidence in her and congratulated her fellow candidates, with whom she said it is an honor to run. Scalettar said she expected a hard-fought campaign and that the Democratic team was well-positioned for victory. “Our team has integrity, intelligence, experience, determination and a strong record to run on. It doesn’t get much better than that,” she said.
