Michael Dow MSPT, Woodbridge resident and CEO/Director of Amity Physical Therapy, has opened a new facility in nearby Hamden. Having completely rebuilt the longtime Centerville Lumber Building on Whitney Avenue, Amity Physical Therapy has expanded its footprint with this very impressive new office at the convenient Hamden location.
The building is massive in size, including a spectacular second floor mezzanine that overlooks the main ground floor’s spread of therapeutic equipment unequaled in the area. Every conceivable device to heal injuries and other incapacitating conditions has been considered. The facility can be considered a masterpiece in therapeutic practice.
Dow has put his personal design stamp on the new office. The interior décor incorporates informal settings and artful motifs to make patients feel more at home in a relaxed environment during treatment and recovery. No clinical surroundings here. No white walls or white coats. The entire interior has comfort and aesthetics entwined for the ultimate in physical therapy practice.
The new Hamden office is virtually across the street from their former smaller facility. Now far more expansive, patients of all ages can be treated for injuries and infirmities in comfort.
A staff of highly skilled therapists treat patients with sprains, joint pain, surgery rehab needs, osteoarthritis, neurological and balance problems, and much more. “The growing need in Hamden for an outstanding physical therapy practice led us to a larger facility,” Dow said. “Hamden deserves the best. Our clinical staff is passionate about their patients…they’re skilled and thorough…and return them to normal activity quickly and relieved of pain.”
Amity Physical Therapy has been awarded “Best of New Haven” for its practice in 2015, 2016 and 2017. They maintain three offices in Woodbridge, Branford and Hamden. Please call 203-691-6248 to schedule an evaluation in the Hamden office, or visit amitypt.com.
