Woodbridge Marks Veterans Day

The annual Woodbridge Veterans Day ceremony will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Monument at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 11, 2015. The VFW Monument is located on Meetinghouse Lane in front of the Center School Building.

During the ceremony the Woodbridge Police Honor Guard will fire a rifle salute, Dr. Barry Josephs, U.S. Army Captain will preside over the event at which First Selectman Ellen Scalettar, State Senator Joe Crisco, State Representative Themis Klarides and State Senator Gayle Slossberg will deliver remarks. Additionally, Susan Antinozzi will sing “America the Beautiful” and “This Land Is Our Land”.

Veterans Day is an official United States federal holiday that is observed annually on November 11th honoring the millions of men and women who have served in the armed forces of the United States.
