Woodbridge Town Library Continues Reading Together!

Read A Book. Ask A Question. Start A Conversation And Share The Joy Of Reading With A Child.

Parents and children – If your child is entering grades K-3 this is the program for you! Our Reading Together events take place Thursdays at 5pm July 9 through August 27. Trained teens will be on hand with specially selected stories, to share the joy of reading and motivate children to read for pleasure. Come to as many sessions as your schedule permits and join the fun! Online registration begins June 15 at www.woodbridge.lioninc.org. Teens (entering grades 9 and up) – The Woodbridge Town Library will train YOU to read with young children to help them connect with the stories they read and encourage them to read for pleasure. There are three training sessions offered, teens must attend one session in order to participate in the program.

Training schedule:

Session 1: Thursday, June 4, 2015, 3:30-4:30pm, Session 2: Tuesday, June 9, 2015, 3:30-4:30pm, Session 3: Wednesday, June 10, 2015k 6:30-7:30 pm.

Teen participation will be eligible for Community Service hours. Online registration for teen training begins May 12 at www.woodbridge.lioninc.org. Teens who participated in 2014 need not repeat the training. For more information, please stop by the Children’s Desk, or call 203 389-3439.
