Yale Science Diplomats Present Trust Your Gut: How Helpful Bacteria Impact Health

Did you know that you are carrying about 2 pounds of living bacteria inside you right now!? That’s 10 times more bacteria cells than your own cells! That may sound creepy but symbiotic microbes are helpful to us in many aspects of health and wellness. Come listen to three Yale scientists present exciting new research about how gut bacteria help us digest our food and contribute to our mental health, and how they have changed over the eons. Journey of the Universe

This Emmy Award winning documentary tells an epic story of cosmic, Earth and human transformation from The Big Bang to today. Evolutionary philosopher Brian Thomas Swimme and Yale historian of religions Mary Evelyn Tucker have crafted a narrative that both illuminates and celebrates the profound role humans play in the flourishing of the Earth. Join us on Wednesday, June 8 @ 7pm to hear author Mary Evelyn Tucker discuss the documentary and book it’s based on!
