Woodbridge Town Library News January 2021

All information accurate at press time.  Be sure to check our website or call us before your visit for any changes to our hours or events.

As of Monday, December 14, 2020, the Library is CLOSED to the public, due to rising cases of COVID-19 in Woodbridge.  Library staff is in the building to answer your questions and provide EXTENDED Park & Pickup service.  The book drop is also open!

Park & Pickup Has Been Expanded!

Park & Pickup hours are NOW Monday & Thursday, 10 am to 7 pm, and Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday, 10 am to 5 pm.

Park & Pickup remains in the Friends’ Meeting Room.  Please use the doors on the right side of the library.  Passage from the meeting room to the library is not permitted.  Remember to wait until you hear from the Library before coming to pick up your order.  Your online account may not always be accurate!

If you are returning items, please use the outdoor book drop, located to the left of the front doors.  The return bin inside of the Meeting Room is currently unavailable.

Can’t Make It In?  Remote Library Service Available

Phones and emails are answered by staff Monday – Friday, 10 am to 5 pm.  Place holds, ask questions, find out information, and more even when the Library is not open for Express Service.

Introducing a New Program for Kids:  POETRYCRAFT

Twice a month, take home a copy of a poem from the book The Proper Way to Meet A Hedgehog, along with a coordinating craft kit.  Read and discuss the poem together, then make a piece of art using the materials provided.  Send us pictures of your art making and reading time with your family!

OPEN TO ALL AGES, REGISTRATION REQUIRED EACH MONTH.  Call or email us to register, and your kits will be placed in the Meeting Room (with Park & Pickup).  More details available on our website.

The Children’s Department is delighted to provide materials for homework assignments and pleasure reading/listening via Park & Pickup or during Express Service.  Place holds via your online account, or contact us if you need suggestions or ideas.

Adult Services is also here to assist with reading and listening suggestions!  If you’re in a reading slump and want something new or just want to challenge the staff to see what we’d select for you, call or email us!  We will ask you a few questions to get us started and then we’ll get back to you with a bunch of (hopefully) new to you titles!

Attention Book Clubs:  Still meeting, but via Zoom?  Tired of spending money on a book you’ll read once and possibly not like?  The Library has nearly 50 book club sets of popular titles.  Each set contains at least 6 copies regular print, 2 copies large print, and an audiobook.  Several sets have many more copies of each format.  Take out one copy or the full set, or anything in between.  Contact the Reference Desk for more information or see the list of sets here:  https://wd.catalog.lionlibraries.org/MyAccount/MyList/1436.
