Woodbridge Youth Services For Middle School Students

9/21/18-Back To School Blowout

Woodbridge Youth Services and the Town of Bethany will sponsor the Blowout for resident seventh and eighth graders on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 6:30-8:30pm at Amity Middle School-Bethany at 190 Luke Hill Road.  The event costs $5 for no-skill-needed fun.  Kids will dance with our DJ, challenge friends in crazy games, and have a laugh.  Food and dessert included.  Great raffle prizes at each event.  Register in advance and get an extra raffle ticket.  Sign our email list to get a reminder to register.  Parent and high school junior and seniors needed to volunteer.  Call 203-389-3429 for information or to register.

9/27/18 & 10/18/18 – Iphone Photography Trips

Woodbridge Youth Services is offering two exciting after-school trips on December 1st for IPhone Photography workshops.  Registered students will board a bus at dismissal at Amity Middle School-Bethany to the Apple Store in New Haven.  Take a walking tour through Yale to take pictures, and return to the store for an editing session.  Students will return to the Amity Middle School-Bethany at 4:45 for parent pick-up.  The first session is called “Portraits and People” and focuses on editing techniques.  The second is a sketch walk.  We’ll take pictures on tour and then draw the photo when we return to the store.  Register for one or both.  Space is limited.  Call 203-389-3429 for more information.

11/1/18 – Kindness Klub Kick Off

Seventh and eighth graders are welcome to join our email list to learn about our multi-year Kindness Klub sessions.  Come to one or as many as you want.  We’ll meet in the cafeteria after school and make a craft to be donated to a worthy cause; like the local homeless shelter or Wounded Warriors.  These sessions are free and you’ll earn community service credit while you listen to tunes, and have snacks, and help make someone’s day with your creation.  These sessions are at Amity Middle School-Bethany, and end in time to hop on the late bus.  Dates will be announced. Call 203-389-3429 for more information.
