Kindness Klub

Woodbridge Youth Services invites seventh and eighth graders at Amity Middle School-Bethany to make fleece blankets for The Life Haven homeless shelter on Tuesday, December 17th (12/19 snow date) at the Amity Middle School – Bethany West Cafeteria from 2:25-3:55pm.  Snacks, materials, and music provided.  No artistic ability required.  Join this free event to make a warmer winter for families in need.

Mardi Gras Party – Save The Date

Eighth graders from Bethany, Orange, and Woodbridge will share a Mardi Gras Party on February 21st at Amity High School in the cafeteria.  Students will find more information in their school newsletters.

Woodbridge Job Bank Accepting New Members/Offers Help to Residents

Woodbridge residents between the ages of 14 and 18 are eligible to join the Job Bank to earn some money and help residents with yardwork, babysitting, snow shoveling, or tutoring.  Contact Nancy Pfund at npfund@woodbridgect.org or call 203-389-3429 for an application and permission form and to schedule an interview.

Woodbridge residents may call 203-389-3429 to hire Job Bank members to get some help with garden work, raking, housework, babysitting or party assistance.

Thanksgiving & Sharing

Woodbridge Human Services would like to thank Boy Scout Troop 63 and Troop 907, for collecting over 2,800 pounds of food for the Woodbridge Food Pantry.  The hard work and dedication of these young adults will help Woodbridge residents throughout the year.  If you would like to make a donation to the Woodbridge Food Pantry, please contact Woodbridge Human Services at 203-389-3429.  We are also grateful to the schools and donors who have offered their support.  We would also like to thank all those who volunteered to sort and shelve the food donations.  They have made it possible for others to feel supported in our community.

Adopt a Family program

This program offers holiday meal baskets to families in need.  Please call 203-389-3429 if you would like to provide a basket or financial assistance or apply for assistance.

Toys 4 Kids

Toys may be donated for TEAM at the Woodbridge Library until December 13 to make a child’s holiday a little brighter.  Larger donations may be brought to Youth Services in Room 12 of the Woodbridge Center Building at 4 Meetinghouse Lane.

Income eligible Woodbridge residents in need of toys for children ages 12 and under should call Youth Services at 203-389-3429 for assistance.  Applications are accepted through December 13.

Fuel Assistance

Families may apply for the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program administered by TEAM, Inc.  Residents can call 203-389-3429 for eligibility guidelines and to schedule an appointment to apply.
