Outdoor Home Alone Class

Woodbridge Youth Services invites children ages 9 to 12 to learn about being safe and more empowered while home alone.  Topics include answering the door or phone, internet caution, fire safety, calling 911, and nutritious snacking.  Class will be held outdoors under the canopy by the Woodbridge Library at 10 Newton Road on Thursday, October 8 & October 15 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Rain date is Monday, October 19.

Masks with social distancing and appropriate clothing for cooler weather are required.  Fee is $15 and includes materials and healthy snacks.  Call 203-389-3429 for information and registration.

Woodbridge Job Bank Seeks Teens Who Want Work

The Job Bank in Woodbridge offers occasional jobs to teen residents (ages 13 – 18) who would like to work to earn some extra cash.  The application process provides an opportunity to learn about the interview process, safety on the job, and how to negotiate pay.

Due to COVID-19, most jobs are currently outdoors with masks and social distancing as required.  Teens can do yard work, dog walking, etc.  Responsible teens who wish to join the Job Bank should call for an interview at 203-389-3429 or e-mail npfund@woodbridgect.org.
