Chris Dickerson
Candidate:
Zoning Board of Appeals (Alternate)
Chris Dickerson is a 4th generation Woodbridge resident, descended from immigrant Italian farmers who settled in the Woodbridge Flats over 110 years ago. He has served the Town of Woodbridge on various boards and commissions, including the Zoning Board of Appeals, Board of Selectmen and Town Plan and Zoning Commission, for nearly 30 years. Chris is currently co-chair of the 2030 Committee, which is working to enhance the business district, and is chair of the Woodbridge Traffic Committee. Chris is also President of the Woodbridge Park Association, a private non-profit organization whose mission is to protect open space in Woodbridge.
Chris owns the Woodbridge Running Company, which has two retail stores selling running shoes, apparel, and accessories. The Woodbridge Running Company celebrated its 24th anniversary this past August. Chris has also coached Cross Country and Track & Field for over 30 years - first at Amity High School and then at Quinnipiac University.
Chris says, “Woodbridge is a special town – located next to a major city but with an abundance of open space. We have a growing business district, many hiking trails, and schools that have been among the best in Connecticut. I appreciate the opportunity to run for a seat on the Zoning Board of Appeals. If elected I will use my experience to help residents when they have zoning issues. It would be an honor to be elected on Tuesday, November 7th.”
