Amity Regional High School Students Receive SCASA Award
On April 28, 2023, two students from each school in the Amity Regional School District No. 5 were chosen to receive the South Central Area Superintendents’ Association (SCASA) Award Recognition Program for the school year. Based on the following leadership skills and the following criteria the students were selected:
- Willingness to take on challenges;
- Capability to make difficult decisions;
- Concern for others;
- Ability to work with others;
- Willingness to commit to a project;
- Diplomacy;
- Ability to understand issues clearly;
- Ability to honor a commitment.
“The Superintendent – Student Award/Recognition Program is designed to allow the superintendents to move beyond the academic achiever who routinely receives recognition, and to use their discretion and understanding of students to reach a wider spectrum, not often – or perhaps never considered as starts. Recipients might include students with disabilities, vocation or alternative school students. However, recipients are a local choice”. Amity is proud to announce the following students from Amity Regional High School are Benjamin Aviad and Aarushi Trivedi both of Woodbridge pictured with Principal Andre Hauser and Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Byars.
