Dean’s List

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

Albany, NY - Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) announces its Spring 2024 Dean’s List recipients.  There were 222 full-time students honored who successfully completed their coursework with a semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 score.   Among those named to the Dean’s List is Keely Barletta of Bethany, CT.

Bryant University

Smithfield, RI - Bryant University is pleased to recognize Ruby Yumbla of Woodbridge, CT for demonstrating an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and achievement by being named to the Spring 2024 Deans’ List.  To earn a place on the Deans’ List, students must have a GPA of 3.4 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work.  Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!

Bucknell University

Lewisburg, PA - Bucknell University has released the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2023-24 academic year.  A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean’s list recognition.  Maya Dworkin, 2027, Undeclared, from Bethany, CT and Christopher Oko, 2026, Biology, from Woodbridge, CT were named to the Dean’s List.

College of William & Mary

Williamsburg, VA - Ava Gross from Woodbridge, CT was recently named to the Dean’s List at the College of William & Mary for the spring 2024 semester.  To achieve Dean’s List status, a full-time degree seeking undergraduate student must take at least 12 credit hours and earn a 3.6 Quality Point Average during the semester.

Nichols College

Dudley, MA - Nichols College is proud to recognize the academic accomplishments of students on the Spring 2024 Dean’s List.  The following Woodbridge students have achieved Dean’s List honors:  Nicholas Federico and Casey Sexton.  Dean’s List recognizes those students who achieve high grades during a single semester.  In order to be included on the Dean’s List, a student must have a minimum average of 3.5 for at least 12 undergraduate credit-hours and must have received no grades below B- during the semester.

State University of New York (SUNY) New Paltz

New Paltz, NY - SUNY New Paltz is proud to congratulate Benjamin Lee of Woodbridge, CT, for being named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2024 semester.  Well done!  Dean’s List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

Western Connecticut State University

DANBURY, CT - Owen Chadbourne, Theatre Arts has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2024 semester at Western Connecticut State University.

Graduations

Fort Hays State University

Hays, Kan. - Fort Hays State University recognized approximately 1,666 graduates during its spring commencement ceremonies on Friday and Saturday, May 10-11.  Those from Woodbridge, CT who graduated are:  Jennifer Napoleone, Doctor of Nursing Practice.

Georgia Tech

Atlanta, GA - Arda Yigitkanli of Woodbridge, CT, has earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with Highest Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.  Yigitkanli was among more than 5,700 undergraduate and graduate students to be presented Georgia Tech degrees during the Institute’s 266th Commencement exercises May 2 - 4, 2024, at McCamish Pavilion.

Hamilton College

Clinton, NY - The following Woodbridge resident received Bachelor of Arts degrees from Hamilton College on Sunday, May 19, in a Commencement ceremony concluding the college’s 212th year:  Brian Seiter.  Seiter, a history major, graduated cum laude with departmental honors in history.

University of Hartford

West Hartford, CT - Kelly Borer of Woodbridge has received the degree of Master of Education from the University of Hartford’s College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions.  Kelly is one of 964 students who received graduate and undergraduate degrees this spring as part of the class of 2024.  The University is thrilled to celebrate the achievements of all our graduates!

President’s List

Champlain College

Burlington, VT - Annabel Kusnitz of Woodbridge, CT, was named to the Champlain College President’s List for the Spring 2024 semester.  Students on the President’s List have achieved a grade point average of 4.0 or higher during the semester.  Kusnitz is majoring in Professional Writing.  Making the President’s List is a tremendous achievement.  Many of the high achievers balance their career-focused classes with jobs, internships, clubs, and volunteering.  We congratulate them on this great accomplishment and honor.

College of Charleston

Charleston, SC - Cameran Palermo of Woodbridge, CT, was named to the College of Charleston Spring 2024 President’s List.  Palermo is majoring in Marketing.  To qualify for the President’s List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.800 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Trustees’ List

Champlain College

Emerson College

Boston, MA - Emerson College student Gabrielle McGovern of Woodbridge, CT is one of 104 seniors and juniors inducted into Emerson’s Gold Key Honor Society on April 3, 2024 in a ceremony in the Semel Theater located in Boston, Massachusetts. The Gold Key Honor Society is an interdisciplinary organization founded at Emerson in 1962 to “recognize and encourage outstanding academic achievement.”  Juniors in the top 5 percent of their class, and seniors in the top 10 percent of their class who earn at least 48 credits are eligible.  Gabrielle McGovern is majoring in Media Arts Production and is a member of the Class of 2024.
