Hands gently cradling a miniature Earth, symbolizing care for the planet. Lush green leaves frame the globe, representing nature and environmental awareness for Earth Day.

Come join us Saturday, April 26th from 10am to 5pm in Woodbridge Town Center for our Woodbridge Earth Day celebration!

Hosted by the Woodbridge Ad Hoc Sustainability Committee and the Town of Woodbridge, this event promises a variety of different activities and attractions suitable for all ages. The event kicks off with a 10 am welcome by our First Selectmen Mica Cardozo. Get ready for all different ways to make your life greener. We hope everyone will leave that day, finding at least one new thing they can do to help celebrate the Earth.

Use the month of April for some Spring Cleaning so you’ll be ready for Woodbridge Earth Day! Ready your old or broken items for Repairing, Reusing, Recycling or Donation! Check the value of your treasures with our What’s It Worth station for a verbal appraisal! If you have items that need a quick fix, check out the Fix-It station. Check out the Clothing Freecycle in the Center Gym– you can donate clothes the week before and pick up some New to You clothes from our clothing Freecycle from 10am-2:30pm. All genders, sizes and ages. Take as much as you want or need!

Try some local tasty treats at the food trucks and relax with a drink while listening to our local musicians on the Town Green while enjoying a local drink at the Wine & Beer Garden. Don’t miss being entertained and amazed by Cyril the Sorcerer, the Merlin of environmental Magic. He will teach the magical secrets that people of all ages can use to be heroes for the planet. He will be on the Green between 10am-12pm. Touch a Truck will be there too!

Educational Exhibits will take place across the Woodbridge Town Center and Green/Library area. Browse the exhibit and vendor tables to learn about solar panels, recycling, heat pumps, composting, pollinators, invasive species and so much more! Say hi to our local farmers at the Farmer Fair and learn about their specialties. Check out the Woodbridge Center’s Tag sale to see what second hand items you may want to take home instead of buying new. Bring some of your seeds from home in a well labeled envelope for the seed exchange and add to your garden this spring or check out the Plant Swap! Don’t forget the Friends of the Library Used Book Sale and come see what the best ways to save gas with our EV Car Show. And if you found old outdated medications in your medicine cabinet during your Spring Cleaning- you can drop them off at the Police Station for the Drug Drop Off!
