Caution Loop Obstacle Course Coming to 7th Grade Picnic

7th Grade Picnic - Thursday, August 22nd

Incoming 7th Grade residents from Bethany and Woodbridge and non-resident AMSB 7th graders are invited to join us for the 26th annual picnic on Thursday, August 22nd behind Amity Middle School-Bethany from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  Rain location is in the gym.  $10.00 fee includes DJ, “Caution Loop” inflatable obstacle course, games, pizza, and free raffle ticket.  Meet your friends and make some new ones as you challenge yourself to the obstacle course or dance to great tunes.  We’ll have games and great food!  Call Youth Services or email Youthone@WoodbridgeCT.org to register.  See flyer on our Facebook page or Town Website.

Volunteers Needed

Adults, College Students, and high school juniors and seniors may call or email to help.  We need chaperones, help at the registration and food tables, and with games.  Community Service hours approved for high school students.

Popular Babysitter Training Offers Life Skills

Red Cross Babysitter Training - 8/20 & 8/21

Class covers all the basics to get you ready to babysit.  This 2-day class for teens, ages 12-17, will be held on Tuesday, August 20 and Wednesday, August 21 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Woodbridge Library Meeting Room.  Must attend both days.  Snacks provided; bring your own lunch.  Fee: $ 60 for Woodbridge residents, $65 for non-residents.  Discount for siblings.  Advance payment required.  Call Youth Services at 203-389-3429 for more information.  See flyer on our Facebook page or Town Website.

Job Bank Seeks Woodbridge and Bethany Teens Who Want Work

The Job Bank guides teens ages 13-18 as they apply, interview, and earn money doing odd jobs for Woodbridge residents.  Teens are needed now, especially for yard work.  Contact the Job Bank to schedule your interview.  Other jobs include babysitting, housework, animal care, tutoring and tech assistance.  Residents may call 203-389-3429 to hire a student.
