Youth Services Hosts Babysitter Training and 7th Grade Picnic, Prepares for Back-to-School Blowout
Babysitter Training Teaches Life Skills
Fourteen students attended the recent class held by Youth Services. Instructor AnnaMaria Mauhs taught students how to handle emergencies, diaper, dress, and feed babies, and other basic information.
Seventh Grade Picnic at Amity Middle School-Bethany a Success
The picnic was held on a beautiful evening in August with a DJ, inflatable obstacle course, games, food, and great raffle prizes. 130 incoming 7th graders attended, and were greeted by Woodbridge First Selectman Mica Cardozo, and welcomed to the school year by Principal Jason Tracy, Assistant Principal Thayer Doyle, and Bethany First Selectman Paula Cofrancesco. Kids enjoyed a scavenger hunt run by the DJ, challenged themselves on the inflatable and waited hopefully as raffle winning numbers were called.
Everyone had a great time with many volunteers on hand to assist.
Many thanks to all of the students and parents who made the 7th Grade Picnic a success. We look forward to seeing you at future programs.
