As the days of summer turn into fall, a new season is upon us. And for most adolescents and teenagers, it’s the dawn of a new sports season. In the past it also signified a transition from the end of summer sports to the beginning of autumn and winter sports.

Woodbridge Rec. Fall youth program registration has begun. Programs include basketball, bowling, chess, flag football, gymnastics, horseback riding, ultimate team sports, Kumon, Little Scientists, Kids Dig Farm at Massaro Farm, running club, tennis, taekwondo, & field hockey.
Youth Services partnered with the Woodbridge Recreation Department to bring Big J of the Harlem Wizards to summer camp on July 29. Big J performed some great basketball and dance moves while kids watched in awe. He challenged both kids and counselors to make it a fun interactive experience.
Starting this time of year, the pediatricians office is flooded with parents lining up to get their children through their yearly preseason physical so they can participate in sports once the school year kicks off again. Ensuring our young athletes health and well being is of the utmost importance.
