Bread & Torah with Rabbi Rona Shapiro

Shabbat Morning: 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM

Rabbi Shapiro will be teaching Mishna Berachot, which deals with the subject of blessings—how and when to say them. The mishna is a compilation of oral traditions recorded around 200 CE to preserve Jewish teachings as Jews went into exile.

Thursday, March 13th at 7:30PM

Megillah Reading at 7:30pm followed by a Shpiel around 8:30pm. Wear a costume, have a drink and some hamantaschen, and join us for a fun, laughter-filled evening!

CBJ Kids Purim Shpiel & Carnival Extraordinaire

Sunday, March 16th, 9:30 AM

Get ready for a morning of joy, laughter, and celebration at the Purim Shpiel & Carnival Extraordinaire! Join us at 9:30 AM as our talented Yahad students bring the story of Esther to life in a fun and engaging Purim Shpiel. At 10:15 AM, come dressed in your favorite costume for the Costume Parade, then dive into the excitement of our Purim Carnival featuring games, food, treats, inflatables, crafts, and activities for the whole family. Join Us for a Weekend of Music & Community with Ben Romano

March 21-23

Congregation B’nai Jacob welcomes musician and Jewish songwriter Ben Romano for a special weekend of music, storytelling, and inspiration.On Friday, March 21, Ben will lead Shabbat services, bringing his uplifting melodies to our congregation. Saturday, March 22, don’t miss Live from the Cupboard (7:00–9:00 PM), an evening of music and storytelling featuring Ben alongside CBJ musicians and special guests. The weekend concludes on Sunday, March 23, with a musical program for kids at 10:00 AM, followed by a light bagel brunch. All are welcome! For more details and to RSVP, visit bnaijacob.org.

AFMDA Ambulance Dedication Ceremony at Congregation B’nai Jacob

Sunday, March 30 at 11AM

Thanks to the generosity of our community, Israel Hope Ambulance New Haven has successfully completed fundraising, and the new basic life support ambulance is now ready for shipment to Israel! Join us for a special dedication ceremony where Rabbi Rona Shapiro will lead the dedication, and AFMDA Regional Director Samuel Konig will be present to honor key contributors. We will recognize Mr. Barry z”l and Hyla Vine for their founding support, Dr. Jeffrey & Betsy Hoos for their leadership, and AMR American Medical Response for their partnership. The CBJ Religious School will also take part in this meaningful send-off. More at  bnaijacob.org.
